Upper Level Rating results, August 6th and 7th

Special words of consolation to Carly M., whose horse Doc coliced in Aiken the night before the rating started. Thanks to Janna R. for scrambling to find replacement horses so that Carly could participate in the rating! Carly passed most all the sections (with horses she had never ridden or lunged before), but unfortunately she did not complete the test. Doc is now on the mend, and Carly is looking forward to retesting the C3 in the future, and taking the HB rating this November.  You are a trooper, Carly!

Congratulations to our new C3 Sarah W., who entered the C3 testing as an HB! Sarah will be transferring from Univ. of KY to USC this fall, and plans to plug in to Palmetto PC while in Columbia. Hope to see you during school breaks Sarah!  

Congrats also to our new C+ Julia G., who entered the C3 testing as a C2!  All that time Julia has spent in the saddle as a national and international games player has paid off! A big thank you to our H member, Ragan B. for lending Prince to Julia for the flat and lunging portions of the test!  

Hats off to brand new B, Rachael W.! Rachael and horse Hennessey were one of four horse/rider combinations at the B testing, and all were Carolina Region candidates. Rachael was formerly a C3 who became a B, and there was another candidate who entered the rating as an H, who with passing the B test, has become an HA. Looking forward to Rachael becoming more involved in teaching at the club level as she prepares for her next rating, the HA!  

Kudos to Eliza C., the Carolina Region's first A since 2008!  Eliza has been preparing for this since she joined Pony Club 10 years ago with regular lessons, consistant participation in club meetings, regional clinics and rallies, schooling shows and recognized competitions. Eliza and one other of the original five candidates at the A testing passed. I am very proud of her!!  

All five candidates represented GFPC in the finest manner possible!! Congratulations to all!!
